Something surprising

The Independent

By John Ardill

Hello everyone,

It’s amazing how fast time flies, especially as we get a little older! I’ve been thinking about what to share with you, and I’m sure many of you, like me, are navigating some of your own medical challenges. For me, it’s heart palpitations—something I don’t even feel, but they’re there, and I begrudgingly take a blood thinner for them.

I recently found an exercise that I can do each morning to help with my health, and it’s been surprisingly uplifting, more so than I ever expected. I wanted to share it with you and encourage you to give it a try. It is a morning reminder.

(A lot of us find great ideas like this, but then we get busy and just forget to do them. So, what I did was put it on my calendar as a daily, repeating task. It’s a great reminder, and honestly, it’s been working so well for me!)

Morning Reminder

Here is the kind of reminder I have been practicing each morning, for self-healing. Does it sound rather New Age?  Yes.  But if you suspend disbelief, I expect it will help you.

Stop and Feel: Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Release all hidden motives and feelings of “need.” You are not asking from a place of lack, but from a place of gratitude.

Declare and Believe: Say this statement out loud or to yourself:

“My prayer is already answered. My body is healed, whole, and perfect.  My perfect relationship is already here, filled with joy and connection. My abundance is already here, flowing to me from all directions.”

Surround Yourself: Imagine your DNA strands becoming perfectly straight and ideal. Be enveloped by the feeling of being fully healed, happy, and in your perfect reality.

Embody It Now: Live in this state of gladness. For the rest of the day, act as if it has already happened. The key is to believe you are already whole, complete, and healed, right now.

This exercise has made me more positive each day with great energy. Try it – and let me know if it is working for you.

Happy retirement journey,

John
