The true meaning of wealth

The Independent

By Ian Ardill

I love our family dog, Bergie. He is a rescue. We got him when he was four years old, and now he is 14.

I took him out for a walk the other day. It used to be that he walked me. I am not sure how much longer he will be around.

It got me thinking: why do I love that dog?

I think it flows from a core need, which we all have, to give love and be loved.

Nowhere is that need more important than with family. And when I look back on 2024 and the experiences and journeys my family went through, I think of how important it is to be intentional about investing in true wealth in the New Year and beyond.

How do I define true wealth? In at least three related ways, which I explain in this video:
-It is about more than money.
-It is about the quality of our relationships.
-It is about the quality of what we give to those relationships.

A great gift
Speaking of giving and being intentional, we are delighted to announce our fourth annual gift of $5,000 to a clean water project, this time in Tanzania. It would be impossible without you. And so it is your gift to us, and our collective gift to a community we will positively impact, together, for generations to come.

It’s all in the video!
